WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT

APPRENTICESHIPS?

Learn and discover everything you need to know about apprenticeships. AllAboutSchooLeavers' Parents' Day has been designed to help you understand all of the options now available for your children. The next event is in Bristol.

We explain the basics of apprenticeships and how they have changed. We look at direct alternatives to university such as degree apprenticeships, higher apprenticeships and all of the routes into different jobs that didn't exist 10 years ago.

We have helped hundreds and hundreds of parents understand the pathways available. Many attendees are amazed that schools and colleges haven't made these pathways clear and, parents, as the major influencer of young people being informed is really important.

Many people don't know you can work your way through the different levels of apprenticeship which range from GCSE level to Masters degree level.

Did you know you can get a degree for free?

Did you know you can become a solicitor, accountant or architect via the apprenticeship route?

WHAT ARE THE PARENTS' DAYS?

AllAboutSchoolLeavers.co.uk, the early career experts, are running events year round. AllAboutSchoolLeavers provides free information to young people, their parents, teachers and careers advisers, as well as listing thousands of opportunities for young people.

These are small, intimate events with around 200 attendees to ensure we can dedicate time to everyone.

We have interviewed thousands of parents—6587 to be exact—and we know that you only want the best for your children, but may lack awareness of the current options available to them.

Many people are unaware of things like degree apprenticeships, few understand the different levels of apprenticeship, and not many realise that you can become a solicitor, engineer or cybersecurity expert with an apprenticeship. Apprenticeships have changed—and there has been a huge uptake by the largest employers.

We will teach you about the options available in a simple and straightforward matter. We are neither pro or anti apprenticeship or university. We believe there isn't an overall best route, but rather there is a best route for each person.

After we have explained how it all works, we will introduce you to employers so that you can ask them the questions you would like the answers to.

WHEN ARE THEY?

The next event is in Bristol on Saturday 7th December.

WHY SHOULD I GO?

Around 80% of young people tell us that they make the big career decisions with their parents. Although it might not always feel like it, what you think really matters. Make sure you are informed so you can help your child make one of the most important decisions they'll ever make.
